In an article written in Forbes magazine (2018) by Rasmus Hougaard entitled “The Real Crisis In Leadership,” He states that being trustworthy and selfless, truthful and compassionate are beautiful qualities. If leaders consistently displayed these traits, workplaces, and employees would be doing much better. But not all leaders, including many of the most famous and successful, exhibit these qualities. Areas of concern in leadership are a flawed promotion process, corruption in Power, an inflated sense of self, and that leadership training is failing. We believe that begetting great leaders starts with serving! Coined by Robert Greenleaf. “Servant leadership is a leadership style and philosophy whereby an individual interacts with others—either in a management or fellow employee capacity—to achieve authority rather than power.” Servant leadership seeks to move management and personnel interaction away from "controlling activities" and toward a more synergistic relationship.
"Today, we have an ever-growing leadership industry consisting of an almost limitless number of books, blogs, articles, workshops, conferences, and speeches."
LeaderUP aims to move the needle to action in the Leadership development process by cultivating relationships with our neighbors.
LeaderUP relies on businesses, foundations, churches, civic groups, and, most importantly, individuals like you who will contribute financially to building a new generation of indigenous leadership.
