July & August 2023
5PM- 7:30PM
We aim to create community by consistently showing up and listening to people's life stories. We are searching for young indigenous leaders who want more for their community and would benefit from our coming alongside them. The block party is specifically aimed at understanding the community's needs and how we help empower teenagers to solve some of those issues.
LeaderUP offers a reciprocal opportunity to give teens a venue to serve their community and see the impact of engagement. Communities served are, in turn, engaged with each other, and children see young, indigenous leaders who look like them, which gives a vision for how they, too, are capable and responsible for caring for each other.
The block party creates a meaningful opportunity for “raising the next gen of leaders” who through serving are able to create community and understand their community’s needs.
The Block Party is Once a week for 6 weeks. We go into Camden city Housing Authorities Communities, Ablett Village, Mcguire Gardens & in Camden County Parkview Towers in Collingswood NJ.
